We recognise choosing the right accountant can be a daunting task, so here are some questions we are commonly asked which may help you
- Are you qualified? + -
- Yes, we are qualified accountants with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). Our designation letters are ACMA, CGMA and these are recognised throughout the world. We are subject to CIMA oversight, annual checks, tests and renewal of our Member in Practice certificate. All of this ensures you can be assured of a quality advice and service. If your accountant is not chartered, they mat not to be subject to the same rigorous standards.
- Are you expensive? + -
- We offer a free, no obligation consultation where we discuss the services you are looking for and the budget you have available. This enables us to offer a service plan which is both affordable, and meets your service expectations.
- Do you only deal with big companies? + -
- No. We a have a variety of expertise within the business which allows us to provide expert advice to businesses of all sizes. This can range from a small ‘one man band’ who is just starting out in business, to a long established limited company employing hundreds of people and turning over £5m a year. Our portfolio of clients represents this diverse range of businesses. However, our expertise only goes so far, and unfortunately, we do not provide support to charities or farmers. These are very technical areas where we feel others will be better able to advise.
- How can I be sure of receiving a good service? + -
- We are regulated by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and they perform annual checks to ensure we offer a good service. Only by providing a good service can we renew our annual Member in Practice certificate. In addition, we have a complaints procedure which is overseen by CIMA, so should you ever need it (we are confident you won’t) you have an independent authority who will make a decision on your grievance.
- How often will I see you? + -
- We are keen to ensure you get as much (or as little) support from us as you want. The frequency you need to see us may change over the life of your business too, so we offer complete flexibility. This can be through face to face meetings, telephone calls, or a combination of both.
- Can I call you at anytime? + -
- We work regular office hours and are happy to take your call. If for some reason we are unable to answer your call, just leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
- Is it easy to change from my existing accountant? + -
- Yes. If you are happy with our proposal and would like to join us, we would ask you for your old accountants contact details and we can do the rest. Out of courtesy we would ask you to let them know beforehand!
